We’re not from here\, but we’re not from there either—we exist in the in-between. Raised by immigrants yet deeply shaped by the sounds\, style\, and cultural influence of Black America—hip-hop\, R&B and soul music. At the same time\, American pop culture shaped our upbringing—VH1\, TRL\, and 97.1 FM in DC filled our screens and airwaves\, creating the soundtrack of our youth.
